“ Very nice truck stop diner serving excellent breakfast all day as well as other good meals. So easy off the interstate, great parking for RVs, trucks pulling campers and large trailers. Highly recommend it, we mostly had breakfast, but one had a good sandwich. ”

“ Great little restaurant. Building is a little run down and dated but lets face it,most kinda ran down or dive kind of restaurants make the best food.. The server was super nice. Had open salad bar with my meal. And oh my goodness! The chicken fried steak was awesome. They serve real real chicken fried steak. They tenderize it in house,bread it fry it and season it. This is what chicken fried steak is suppose to be and not that thin processed frozen crappy chicken fried steak everyone else serves. They also served real mash potatoes and the meal came with Texas toast, toasted and buttered perfectly. You other restaurant need to pay attention to what this restaurant is doing. Pay more attention to the quality of food you are serving rather than a large variety of in most cases poorly made food. This world needs more restaurants like this one for sure. Definitely reminds me of the old choke and pukes of the the fast. They don't dazzle you with decor but they sure do make great food. Reminds me of a little road side diner that Burt Reynolds would go into in the Smokey and the Bandit movies. They kill you with kindness and great food. ”

“ I award my stars given the expectations of the genre of restaurant, they are not Michelin stars for how haughty the cuisine is. Russell's serves, good, plain, down home every day diner food, and they do it really well, with absolutely excellent service. This was one of the few restaurants in the country that was actually able to keep up with my husband's coffee demands, and actually offered me a refill on my iced tea. They were quick to get our order, quick to set down the plates, and the food was hot, wholesome, and delicious. I love senior portions, as our appetites just aren't what they used to be, and I do not need to be eating like a trucker off an all-day run. I got the liver and onions because I'm just that way. I enjoy a good one, and they did really well caramelizing the liver, and there were plenty of well-caramelized onions on top. The mashed potatoes were firm and rich with a good coating of brown gravy (there was a choice of brown or cream), and the salad bar had plenty of everything that should go on a salad and then some. My husband got the fried catfish, which was crisp, hot, and lightly battered. He really loved his baked potato. It's just plain, good food at really great prices. ”

“ Walked in Thursday special, all you call eat fried chicken for 13. We got greeted right away, friendly staff, ordered chicken fried steak, and Thursday special, come with salad bar. Food came quickly. Pies look delicious, but we didn't order. It's an affordable place with good food and good service. ”
